A Posteriori, A Priori and Understanding the Bible

A posteriori a priori are two terms from philosophy. What do they have to do with understanding the Bible? Now we have spoken too many times here at Just a Word about man’s wisdom. yet these two terms from man’s wisdom can be so inciteful in helping us to understand the bible.

“A priori” and “a posteriori” refer primarily to how, or on what basis, a proposition might be known. In general terms, a proposition is knowable a priori if it is knowable independently of experience, while a proposition knowable a posteriori is knowable on the basis of experience. –  Source: Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy.
