A posteriori a priori are two terms from philosophy. What do they have to do with understanding the Bible? Now we have spoken too many times here at Just a Word about man’s wisdom. yet these two terms from man’s wisdom can be so inciteful in helping us to understand the bible.

A priori” and “a posteriori” refer primarily to how, or on what basis, a proposition might be known. In general terms, a proposition is knowable a priori if it is knowable independently of experience, while a proposition knowable a posteriori is knowable on the basis of experience. –  Source: Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy.
