Flattery is a sin that is hardly ever mentioned among believers. Are you unknowingly flattering and making lies? By the way, the Cambridge dictionary tells us what flattery means:

The act of praising someone, often in a way that is not sincere, because you want something from them:

Please note, there are many sinful things we do unknowingly day by day, and that is to our detriment. Flattery is one of them.

flattery - unknowingly making lies

Now where flattery is concerned? Because of the Babylonian world of pride in which we are brought up. we tend to flatter. We tend to  exaggerate, to tell people nice things to make them feel good.

Innocently (to ourselves) as believers, we may do this for the sake of harmony, so that the other person can feel good within themselves. So there can be peace and happiness.

Sadly, doing any of the aforementioned is sin. We actually end up making lies, and encourage the person we are flattering to love a lie.

So in this video, we look at flattery. More specifically, we look at how easy we can flatter our way into condemnation from the Most High and his Messiah.

Watch the video and see.
