Pre-Tribulation Rapture: True or False?

The pre-tribibulation rapture: is it true or false? This theory is synonymous with the religion of Christianity. It is the belief that all Christians will be raptured before the great tribulation mentioned by the Messiah in Matthew 24.

Mat 24:20  But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

Mat 24:21  For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

Christians believe that the Messiah will be coming for them before this tribulation, so they will not have to go through it. And this is how they believe they will escape it:

1Th 4:16  For the Master himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of Aluah: and the dead in HaMashiach shall rise first:

1Th 4:17  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Master in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Master.
